Remote Full Time Consulting

Job Summary:

The Consultant position is part of the Consulting team. This professional will use their analytical skills to spot weaknesses in client’s systems or processes and offer recommendations on how to fix those vulnerabilities. The primary focus of this position is on administrative efficiency, legal compliance, workflow, financial processes, and electronic medical records (EMR) support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite and/or remote services to clients
  • Complete objectives outlined within the scope of the consulting project engagement
  • Provide technical assistance via individual or group training as appropriate
  • Communication of project status and/or results will be provided in writing consistent with Richter & Associates formats and content
  • Compare and evaluate various possibilities and make recommendations for action that consider business implications.
  • Receive documentation from clients and process information accurately according to payor billing requirements
  • Report the status of the project to the client and manager as determined by project engagement
  • Maintain thorough documentation of client communications on all aspects of a project
  • Maintain client records and Richter & Associates work papers in an organized and protected manner consistent with policy and procedure
  • Thorough communication or project expectations, including timeframes and results
  • Educate and train on technical components and procedures to be followed
  • Attend any mandatory meetings
  • Stay knowledgeable in State and Federal regulations, guidelines, and best practices within the postacute industry

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in a business subject (Business Administration or Information Systems) is preferred, but not essential.
  • Post-acute financial management experience: Skilled Nursing, Home Health, Hospice
  • 1-year consulting experience
  • Experience in project management
  • Thorough knowledge of the field of skilled nursing and willingness to keep abreast of advancements
  • Knowledge of data analysis and research techniques
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills
  • Proficient at understanding client requirements
  • Analytical and creative
  • A great listener with the ability to communicate with people of diverse disciplines

Skills & Abilities:

  • Computer Literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must write, speak, and interact clearly and professionally using the English language.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and handle the physical duties of the position unless a formal accommodation under ADA has been requested and approved.
  • Must provide the highest level of customer service to clients, co-workers, and other related parties.
  • Must be able to deal tactfully with team members, other staff, residents of client facilities, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
  • Strong client-facing skills
  • Able to gather and accurately document client requirements
