Financial Analyst (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Silver Spring, MD (Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite)

Compensation: $35-$40/hr with potential flexibility for the right candidate

We are seeking a Financial Analyst with 2-3 years of experience to support financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with large data sets, building reports and dashboards, and translating financial information into actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and operating results.
• Perform variance analysis and identify trends, risks, and performance drivers.
• Develop and maintain financial models, cash flow projections, dashboards, and management reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
• Create and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting tools.
• Partner with Accounting, Operations, and other stakeholders to improve reporting, data accuracy, and business processes.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and present findings to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of financial analysis, accounting, FP&A, banking, or related experience.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.
• Experience with Power BI and data visualization tools required.
• Ability to work with large datasets and translate data into meaningful business insights.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP or financial systems such as Sage Intacct, Yardi, MRI, RealPage, or similar platforms is a plus. xzgxqkn

Preferred Background Strong Excel and Power BI skills, along with the ability to understand and analyze financial statements, are the highest priorities.
