Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Retail Finance & Accounting Business Analyst with hands-on accounting experience and a strong background in retail, fashion, apparel, or e-commerce. The ideal candidate will combine accounting expertise with financial analysis and retail business analytics to improve profitability and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Analyze financial statements, P&L, COGS, gross margins, operating expenses, and inventory costs.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial variance analysis.
• Analyze retail sales, SKU/category performance, inventory turnover, and product profitability.
• Develop KPI reports and dashboards using Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Work with Finance, Accounting, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.
• Identify cost savings, revenue growth opportunities, and profitability improvements.

Required Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in accounting, retail finance, FP&A, or business analysis.
• Strong hands-on accounting experience is mandatory.
• Experience in retail, fashion, apparel, e-commerce, or consumer products.
• Knowledge of general ledger, reconciliations, financial statements, inventory accounting, COGS, and P&L analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills; SQL and Power BI/Tableau preferred.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics. xhqgsiq
• Must be willing to work 100% on-site in Secaucus, NJ.

Preferred Profile

Candidates with a combination of hands-on accounting, retail financial analysis, inventory management, and business performance analytics are strongly preferred.
