With a sound financial structure and a strong balance sheet that fuels continuous investments in its assets, Twin Rivers Paper offers its customers the security of local product availability through a strong, domestically owned manufacturer and the assurance of long-term viability.Reporting to the Vice President - Finance the Financial Analyst is responsible for the fiduciary responsibilities of finance, monthly closing, and reporting for the Company.Ensuring accounting requirements are completed accurately and on timeDocuments and substantiates financial transactions by entering account informationAnalyzing operational and financial data, investigating variances, identifying business drivers, and evaluating their impact on planned objectivesPreparing meaningful variance analysis commentary for managementConsolidating cost reduction and other continuous improvement activitiesProviding assistance in reporting against performance targets in incentive programsAssisting with the recommendation, development, and implementation of process improvements in support of the operating agendaBA in Accounting or FinanceTravel 10% of the timeStrong skills in the areas of analysis, problem-solving, organization, multi-tasking, prioritization, communication, and relationship buildingAbility to think strategically in a constantly changing business environment and marketAbility to operate with high regard to integrity, trust, and confidentialityThe Financial Analyst spends 95% of the time in an office environment preparing and reviewing reports, forecasts and financials and attending meetings.
