Financial Analyst

Financial Analyst Position at ICANNICANN is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning and Analysis team. We are looking for a high-performing individual who can serve as a Finance Analyst for the 2026 Round. Applicant should have strong financial modeling skills, excellent attention to detail and be a self-starter.

This position has a significant amount of interaction with internal and external stakeholders and requires excellent business advisory and communication skills. This role will be an essential member of the Finance team and will support cross functional activities across projects for the company.Key Responsibilities & Duties:Serve as the Finance Analyst for ICANN's current and future rounds of new gTLDs and finance projects.Build and work in financial models that enable business planning and decision-making, including cost tracking, refund management, and other duties as assigned.Analyze budget, forecast, and actuals and prepare monthly reporting.Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, and financial forecasts.Perform monthly accounting entries and intercompany reconciliations.Contribute to the smooth running of all daily & monthly financial processes ensuring the accuracy, timeliness and reliability of the resulting data and documentation.Proactively engage with Finance colleagues and business partners to identify opportunities for business process improvementPerform reviews and validations that the organization's financial records and recordkeeping methods are following applicable standards and regulations.Other duties as assigned or requestedRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions)Self-motivated team player with strong ability to interact with othersLearning agility, intellectual curiosity and adaptability in assuming new responsibilities and handling unfamiliar materialStrong communication skills with proven track record in building relationships and working in cross-functional collaborative teamsComfortable working in a fast-moving and dynamic environmentExperience driving operational excellence and cross functional collaboration at all levels of an organizationAbility to distill complex analyses and nuanced problems into concrete action plansHave good communication skills – Listening, verbal, written and presentationalBe flexible, demonstrating a "can do" attitude when taking on new challenges, leading by exampleWell-developed valuation, financial analysis and modelling skills, including the ability to develop a financial model from scratchKnowledge of appropriate tools, techniques and intellectual capital to address transaction issuesProven analytical skills and systematic problem solvingStrong commitment to professional and client service excellenceEducation and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's Degree requiredMinimum 4 years of relevant experience in FinanceFinance experience at a high-growth startup or Fortune 500, ideally a blend of both.Fluency, both written and spoken, in English is requiredICANN is a global organization that values diversity; preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated skills in additional languages besides EnglishWorking Conditions & Physical Requirements:Work is performed in a normal office environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noiseWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
