This role will support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and strategic decision-making through advanced Excel modeling and data visualization.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Analysis & ReportingAnalyze monthly financial statements, P&Ls, and operational reports across hotel propertiesBuild and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysisPrepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc financial reports for leadershipIdentify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting revenue, labor, and profitabilitySupport KPI tracking and performance dashboardsBusiness & Operational AnalysisEvaluate hotel performance across occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, labor productivity, and expensesConduct cost analysis and ROI evaluations for operational initiatives and capital projectsPartner with Operations, Revenue Management, Accounting, and HR to validate and interpret dataTranslate operational performance into financial insights and recommendationsProcess Improvement & Data ManagementImprove reporting tools, automation, and Excel-based workflowsAssist with system upgrades, data mapping, and testing for new platformsMaintain accuracy and integrity of financial and operational datasetsSupport special analytical projects assigned by leadershipQualificationsEducation & ExperienceAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field preferred2+ years of experience in a Financial Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar analytical role preferredHospitality or multi-unit business experience is a plusTechnical SkillsAdvanced Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, dashboards)Experience working with financial and operational datasetsFamiliarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) a plus but not requiredStrong comfort with reporting systems and data analysis toolsCore CompetenciesStrong financial acumen and analytical thinkingAbility to interpret data and present actionable business insightsHigh attention to detail and accuracyStrong communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentEagerness to learn new systems and analytical toolsPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit and work at a computer for extended periodsFrequent use of keyboard and office equipmentOccasional lifting up to 20 lbsOccasional travel to hotel properties as neededReady to Join the Team?Apply today by submitting your resume detailing your relevant experience to show us why you're the perfect fit for Maya Hotels.
