The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate's geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.The Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting in a wide range of FP&A activities and is responsible for specific data driven analytics that support the Anaheim Ducks, San Diego Gulls, and Anaheim Ducks Foundation. This position will play a central role in executing the timely delivery and presentation of the annual operating plan, rolling forecasts, monthly reporting and variance analysis, and long-range strategic plan. The Financial Analyst drives to execute tasks and projects timely at a high level.Responsibilities:Create, manage, and maintain complex financial planning models to support annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long-term planningAnalyze actual results against budget and forecast, research variances, and communicate findingsPrepare monthly financial reporting packages for leadership and business operatorsCollaborate with leadership and operators to align financial plans with operational goals and executionWork with data originating out of native accounting and operational systems to answer critical questions and provide insights through key performance indicatorsEngage in ad-hoc analysis to support business decision-making and strategic planningAssist in storytelling by preparing presentations in support of executive meetings, monthly/quarterly business reviews and various strategic and analytical projectsSupport the delivery of NHL reports, business plans, surveys, and other league requirementsDrive process improvements and automation of financial reportingPerform other duties and projects as assignedSkills:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related fieldMinimum of 2 years of experience in Financial Planning & AnalysisExperience in sports and entertainment industry preferredAdvanced Excel modeling skills, with the ability to build and maintain complex financial modelsStrong storytelling ability through PowerPoint, with a focus on data visualization and executive-level communicationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly detail-oriented with strong organizational skillsDemonstrated critical thinking and analytical problem-solving abilitiesNaturally curious, with a desire to learn, ask thoughtful questions, and dig deeper into financial dataProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentKnowledge, Skills, and Experience:Education - Bachelor's DegreeExperience Required – 2+ YearsThis position is on-site.Company:Anaheim Ducks Hockey Club, LLCOur Commitment:We are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and team members without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, membership in an employee organization, parental status, military service, medical condition or any protected category prohibited by local, state or federal laws.
