Financial Analyst – $105/hr Remote – Mercor

Crossing Hurdles is seeking an experienced Buyside Analyst to support Mercor’s cutting‑edge AI research and model training initiatives. This hourly contract role offers flexible hours and remote work across the United States.

Base Pay

$105.00/hr (fixed hourly contract)

Role Responsibilities

• Perform detailed financial analysis including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company, and precedent transaction models.
• Conduct industry and company research focusing on AI and technology sectors.
• Prepare investment memos, investment theses, and deliver presentations to investment committees.
• Monitor portfolio performance, track risks, and analyze macroeconomic and sector developments.
• Support due diligence processes for private investments and partnership opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; CFA designation or advanced degree preferred.
• Strong experience in buy‑side research, asset management, venture capital, private equity, or investment banking.
• Advanced Excel financial modeling and PowerPoint presentation skills.
• Familiarity with financial databases such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Pitchbook, and FactSet.
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks are not supported).
