Financial Administrative RepresentativeLocation: Los Angeles, CA 90017Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)Shift: Day Shift (3x8 hours)Schedule: Monday–Friday (8-hour shifts) with rotating weekendsPosition SummaryThe Financial Administrative Representative supports patient access to care by managing registration and pre-registration for outpatient and inpatient accounts. This role ensures accurate collection of patient financial responsibility, including copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles, while delivering excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and hospital staff.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform patient registration and pre-registration efficiently and accuratelyVerify insurance eligibility and benefitsCalculate and collect patient financial liabilitiesEnsure compliance with medical screening requirements prior to admissions discussionsMaintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulationsHandle document scanning and data entry tasksCommunicate effectively with patients, guarantors, insurance providers, and healthcare staffMeet productivity targets (20–30+ registrations per shift)Required QualificationsMinimum 2 years of experience in: Hospital registration/admitting (mandatory)Medical billing and/or insurance verificationHigh school diploma or equivalentKnowledge of: Medi-Cal, Medicare, Covered CaliforniaCOBRA, limited benefit plansHospital Presumptive Eligibility ProgramUncompensated Care ProgramsFamiliarity with IPA and EMTALA regulationsStrong understanding of medical terminologyTyping speed of 45+ WPMStrong computer skills (Word, Excel, multitasking across systems)Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsCertifications (Required Post-Hire)Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) – within 3 monthsLA City Fire Card – within 6 monthsPreferred QualificationsContinuing education in Finance, Accounting, or Business AdministrationBilingual abilitiesAdditional SkillsStrong attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentExcellent customer service and phone etiquetteAbility to quickly learn and follow proceduresCapability to travel to off-site locations (if required)Work ExpectationsMust be available to work weekends as requiredInitial schedule may require working Saturday, Sunday, and MondayNo time off requests (RTO) allowed during the first 2 weeks
