Financial Administrative Representative (ER) – NightsDuration: 13 Weeks (Contract, possible extension) Location: 1225 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90017 Shift: 5:00 PM – 1:30 AM (Rotating weekends)Position SummaryThe Emergency Financial Representative is responsible for securing reimbursement from patients and responsible parties while assisting patients in understanding their insurance coverage, eligibility, and financial obligations.This role focuses on:Point-of-service (POS) collectionsInsurance verification and financial counselingEstablishing payment arrangementsAssisting patients with programs such as Medi-Cal, Hospital Presumptive Eligibility (HPE), and Uncompensated CareAll patient interactions occur after medical screening, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.Key Responsibilities1. Patient Financial ServicesPerform insurance verification and determine patient eligibility and benefitsCalculate co-pays, estimates, and patient liabilitiesCollect payments at the point of serviceSet up payment plans when full payment is not possibleEducate patients on financial responsibility and coverage2. Registration & DocumentationComplete accurate patient registration within 30 minutes of medical screeningMaintain 95%+ accuracy in all registrationsEnsure all required documents (ID, insurance, consent forms) are scanned and recordedAvoid duplicate records and ensure data integrity3.

Program AssistanceScreen uninsured patients for: Medi-Cal, Hospital Presumptive Eligibility (HPE), Uncompensated Care ProgramsAssist with application completion and submission4. Collections & Revenue CycleMeet monthly collection targetsSecure payments for: 75% of insured patients with liability, 33% of self-pay patientsMaintain accurate financial records and payment tracking5. Customer ServiceProvide compassionate, professional patient interactionClearly explain financial processes and optionsMaintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAACollaborate with internal teams and external vendors6.

Productivity ExpectationsComplete 20–30+ patient registrations per shiftFollow up on unpaid accounts within 1–2 daysEnsure timely documentation and communication7.
