Staff Accountant – Real Estate Development | Midtown Manhattan | $75K–$90K + Bonus
Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a Staff Accountant for a full-time, hybrid role.
Our client is a well-established real estate developer with a national portfolio (office, residential, mixed-use and industrial). You'll be the financial link between the development teams, joint-venture partners and leadership, from groundbreaking to sale.
What you'll work on
- Monthly journal entries, bank and intercompany reconciliations, and financial statement prep
- Construction loan draws and funding requests for active development projects
- Tracking project costs against approved budgets
- Monthly reporting to internal leadership and outside JV partners
- Audit support and transaction closings (settlement statements, gain-on-sale calcs)
What you bring
- Bachelor's in Accounting (or related field)
- CPA, or in progress with at least one exam section passed
- 1+ years of accounting experience. Public accounting is a big plus
- Strong Excel and writing skills. Yardi is a bonus, not a must
