Finance (UCC) Associate AttorneyDirect Counsel is representing a leading Am Law firm seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney to join its Finance group in New York, with a focus on UCC and secured transactions. This is an excellent opportunity to develop deep expertise in Article 9 secured transactions and Article 8 investment securities matters while working on sophisticated finance matters across a top-tier platform.The ideal candidate will have approximately 4–6 years of finance or secured lending experience, with strong interest in UCC issues and structured credit documentation.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise clients on secured lending transactions with a focus on UCC Article 9 and Article 8 mattersReview and analyze security documentation and collateral structuresAssist in drafting and negotiating security interest opinionsCounsel clients on personal property security interests and related financing structuresMonitor and interpret developments in the UCC and related commercial lawSupport broader Finance and cross-practice transactional teams on secured lending issuesContribute to internal knowledge management materials and best practicesQualifications4–6 years of experience in finance, secured lending, or related transactional workExperience with secured transactions and financing documentation requiredFamiliarity with UCC Article 9 and Article 8 strongly preferredExperience reviewing or working with security interest opinions is a plusStrong analytical, drafting, and communication skillsExcellent academic credentialsAbility to work collaboratively across multiple practice groupsAdmission to the New York Bar or eligibility to waive inWhy ApplyThis role offers the opportunity to build specialized expertise in UCC and secured transactions within a leading global Finance practice.
