ABOUT THE ROLE
Candidates should have solid hands-on experience in brick-and-mortar retail AR settlement and tax operations. Key responsibilities include accounts receivable, fixed assets, local expenses and tax filings. Experience with tax agencies is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting, and deliver financial analysis to support strategic decision‑making.
- Prepare and review accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Ensure all accounting records and procedures are compliant with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, account reconciliations, accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP).
- Liaise with external auditors to prepare for and coordinate annual audit activities.
- Guarantee accurate and timely tax filings, and propose tax‑planning recommendations.
- Analyze financial data to spot trends and potential financial risks.
- Optimize accounting workflows and systems to boost automation and operational efficiency.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to provide actionable financial insights and business support.
Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines.
- Professional accounting certification e.g. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5‑year working experience in accounting, taxation or financial management.
- Strong analytical, communication and presentation capabilities.
Preferred Attributes:
- Solid expertise in taxation, treasury management and business analysis.
- Proficiency in Chinese as a working language is preferred.
