Finance ManagerKirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is a leading distributor of heavy equipment and cranes in the central United States. We are at the forefront of today's construction industry growth and have several exciting job opportunities for talented, energized professionals across the region who want to join our Kirby-Smith family!The Finance Manager is responsible for assisting customers with financing options.Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One GoalWorks with Territory Managers and customers to obtain financing for the purchase of equipmentProvides customers with financing options and assists in defining the best solutionCollects and submits all information to the financial institution(s) to facilitate financing for customers.Provides all financial information collected on Kirby-Smith customers to the Credit Department to inform their decisions on our unsecured credit exposureIdentifies, establishes, and cultivates relationships with customers. When necessary, leverage the relationship to coach customers to improve their financing positionCultivates and maintains relationships with Branch Managers, Sales Managers, and Territory Managers to ensure effective communication and optimum use of finance expertiseObtains and maintains knowledge of available financing options and the current competitive market environment. i.e., ratesObtains and maintains knowledge of all internal financing options, special programs, and promotions, i.e., Komatsu financial programs, as well as the requirements for filing documents specific to the financial institution, such as credit applications, etc.Maintains relationships with financial institutions. Attends vendor functions for self-education and current industry trendsCoordinates with Sales Managers on RPO conversions with funding optionsConducts periodic training in financial merchandising with sales representativesPerforms other job-related duties as assignedEnsures consistent and reliable on-site attendanceBachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, or Accounting preferred.

Experience may be considered in place of formal educationFive (5) years of related experienceProficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applicationsExceptional Interpersonal skills and excellent communication skillsPushing/Pulling/Lifting/Carrying up to 20 pounds without assistanceSitting long periodsDriving (local/long distance)Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policyThis is a safety-sensitive position.
