Finance ManagerWe are seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
Responsibilities include managing all cash, AP & AR processing to include billing and collections, assisting corporate office with month-end closing and reconciliations, review and prepare club budget & forecast, and supervision of the accounting team. The position will report directly to the General Manager of the resort and work closely with our corporate-level accounting/finance resources.ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:Assist General Manager with budget and forecast preparationAccounts payable/receivable/billing/collectionsCash receiptsPayrollRevenue and expenditure variance analysisSupervision of accounting staffAdditional projects or duties as requiredMonitor and analyze accounting dataEnforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles to ensure compliance and accuracyCoordinate and complete annual auditsIdentify process & internal control weaknesses and work to develop and implement solutionsMeet corporate office financial accounting objectives and deadlinesEstablish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactionsServe as liaison between property department heads and the accountants at corporate officeRequirements3-5 years of relevant work experience, including recent experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager supervising direct reportsAdvanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases. Strong preference given to candidates with significant experience in standard platforms for the hospitality industry (Opera PMS, Micros 9700 POS, Purchase Order Systems, etc.)Proficiency with web browser and web-based accounting systems (NetSuite experience is a plus)Ability to manipulate large amounts of dataProven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulationsAnalytical, detail-oriented, strategic thinker focused on accuracy with the ability to see the big pictureAbility to identify and resolve problems effectivelyExcellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environmentAbility to direct, supervise, and delegate efficientlyAbility to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environmentDegree in Accounting or Finance preferred
