Job Overview
A law firm seeks a mid-senior level associate to join its Finance team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in complex commercial lending and leveraged finance transactions. Duties
- Draft and negotiate principal financing documentation across various credit facilities.
- Advise private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers on complex domestic and cross-border debt financings.
- Engage in syndicated financings, secured and unsecured debt, and leveraged acquisition financings.
- Collaborate with a team on innovative and complex transactions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a finance lawyer.
- Experience drafting and negotiating principal financing documentation, including security documentation.
- Experience representing private credit lenders and/or private equity sponsors in leveraged buyouts and acquisition financings.
- Strong academic credentials.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Licensed to practice law in the United States.
