Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Finance Director who will play a key role in fundraising .

Be creative, resourceful, self-starter, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills, strong process management skills, and can work seamlessly with cross-functional teams.

This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Education Level

• Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting from a College/University

Work Experience

• 10+ years of directly applicable finance experience with advanced financial modeling skills.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Cap Table Management - Help reconcile and maintain current and ongoing status including details on specific investors across multiple private and crowdfunding rounds. Add employees and manage options.
• Financial Planning and Analysis - Help develop and maintain financial models for a range of potential strategic and operational cases for internal and external stakeholders supporting the company's operations and fundraising.
• Financial Reporting - Work with the accounting team to acquire, process, and distribute reporting as needed for various purposes.
• Fundraising Support - Help support subsequent rounds of fundraising for planning, scheduling, document preparation, and communications.
• Investor Relations Management - Manage a team of professionals responding to questions from investors and potential investors and assist with company communications to this community.
• Key Performance Indicators - Manage, update, and enhance the Finance KPI Dashboard and publish/communicate internally.
• Monthly Departmental Budgets - Manage the collection, reporting, and analysis of Budget vs. Actual performance by department each month.
• Work closely with HR on compensation structure including pay bands and equity structure.
• Lead or support additional projects as analytical needs are identified.
• As the company grows, additional responsibilities may be added.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Help any staff member in any way possible.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment with multiple simultaneous urgencies.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
• Advanced computer skills working with NetSuite, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google Suite.
• An understanding of GAAP accounting, lease accounting ASC842, cost of capital, and financial analysis principles and methods.
• Capable of clear and timely communication of status and needs to all levels of management across functional teams.
• Professional finance background in a startup or technology-driven company.
• Project management skills necessary to facilitate coordination and completion of multiple intra-company initiatives across technical and administrative departments.
• Proven ability to create and maintain diverse, elegant, and transparent financial models in Excel and Google Sheets.
