Our client is seeking a senior Finance Master Data Design & Governance Architect to support the Finance Data & Reporting Modernization Program (ARC2).
- This role will partner closely with Accounting, CFP&A leaders and ERP/EMP leads to redesign key finance reporting dimensions, establish the supporting governance model, and prepare implementation-ready requirements for future system deployment.
- We are seeking a hands-on finance reporting and master data transformation practitioner who has successfully redesigned and governed finance master data (including Chart of Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Product hierarchies, WBS structures) for global corporations in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industry.
- The successful candidate will bring practical experience, proven design patterns, deep understanding of accounting requirements and financial reporting, and implementation lessons learned to help Accounting and CFP&A leaders make design decisions and navigate complex design decisions, stakeholder negotiations, governance requirements, and future-state operating model design.
- This individual will act as a trusted advisor, facilitator, architect, and design lead who helps the organization arrive at scalable and sustainable solutions.
Skills:
- Finance Reporting & Master Data: Multiple end-to-end finance reporting transformation and reporting master data initiatives
- Functional expertise: Solid understanding of Accounting requirements, consolidation and financial reporting
- Governance: Hands-on master data governance design and operationalization experience, including defining governance frameworks, building ownership and stewardship models, developing approval workflows, establishing governance councils, and implementing master data governance processes
- Industry Experience: Strong preference for candidates with experience in pharma biotech, or life sciences industries and in companies with global operations, including R&D, clinical trials, manufacturing, and commercial operations
- Technology: Strong familiarity with ERP and EPM systems, preferably SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA, and TM1 (The role is not expected to configure systems but should understand implementation implications of design decisions)
Education:
Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, finance, or information technology, followed by specialized certificates and practical work history
Focus on database management, systems analysis, financial accounting, and corporate finance
