Finance AssociateDirect Counsel is seeking a Finance Associate to join a market-leading Business Restructuring & Reorganization practice. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney with restructuring finance experience to work on high-profile creditor-side and borrower-side matters involving complex restructurings, special situations transactions, and Chapter 11 proceedings.While the position is open to multiple offices, New York is strongly preferred.The ideal candidate will have experience representing creditors, borrowers, hedge funds, private equity sponsors, CLOs, and other financial institutions in sophisticated restructuring and special situations financings.LocationsNew York (Preferred)Open to other U.S. officesResponsibilitiesAdvise creditors, borrowers, and financial institutions on complex restructuring and financing transactionsRepresent clients in: Liability management transactionsDebtor-in-possession (DIP) financingsBankruptcy exit financingsSpecial situations financingsOut-of-court restructuringsChapter 11 mattersStructure, negotiate, and document sophisticated financing transactionsDraft and negotiate credit agreements, financing documents, and related transaction materialsWork closely with hedge funds, CLOs, private equity sponsors, and institutional lendersAnalyze capital structures and restructuring alternativesCollaborate with restructuring, finance, bankruptcy, and litigation teams on complex mattersParticipate in strategic planning and transaction execution from inception through closingQualificationsJ.D.
