Description

As the Finance & HR Manager at Kluber A+E, you will play a key role in overseeing the organization's financial and human resources functions, while supporting the day‑to‑day operations of the office. As a member of the leadership team, you will provide strategic and operational guidance to help achieve the company's business objectives.

In this role, you will manage core financial activities, including budgeting, bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, cash flow reporting, financial analysis, and monthly financial reporting. You will also oversee key human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, policy implementation, training, and regulatory compliance.

Following Kluber A+E's integration into Aeterna Group in 2025, this position will collaborate closely with Aeterna Group's Finance and Human Resources teams to ensure consistency in financial reporting, HR practices, and organizational initiatives across the organization.

The ideal candidate is an experienced, collaborative leader with strong financial acumen, sound judgment, and exceptional organizational and communication skills. Success in this role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, build strong working relationships, and effectively apply best practices in both finance and human resources.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee finance and human resources operations for Kluber A+E
  • Manage financial reporting, including project revenue projections, work‑in‑progress tracking, month‑end close, reconciliations, and preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, payments, and collections
  • Prepare weekly cash reports and support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Partner with Kluber leadership team and Aeterna Group’s finance and HR teams on strategic initiatives and business operations
  • Oversee office operations in collaboration with the Office Manager, including vendor management and administrative functions.
  • Lead HR functions, including payroll, benefits, recruitment, onboarding, personnel records, performance reviews, and employee relations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR and office policies, procedures, and operational best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, emergency preparedness, and office security protocols.
  • Participate as a member of the leadership team, providing operational and strategic input across the organization

Working Conditions

The anticipated salary range for this position is $105,000 - $120,000 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and skills. This is a good faith estimate and subject to negotiation. Other compensation may include discretionary bonuses, safe‑harbor 401K contributions and profit‑sharing 401K contributions.

Position Requirements

The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time‑management skills.
  • Demonstrated discretion and professionalism when handling confidential financial and employee information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff, clients, and vendors.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, A/R, A/P
  • Experience with month‑end close processes, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
  • Knowledge of HR practices, including recruiting, onboarding, employee benefits administration, personnel records, and compliance.
  • Experience using accounting, payroll, and HRIS software
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to anticipate and address operational needs.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8-10 years in finance, accounting, business operations, or human resources, with at least 3 years in a management/leadership role
  • Background in the AEC industry is preferred, but not required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency with Paychex and Deltek accounting software (Ajera, Vantagepoint) preferred, but not required
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work at a desk for extended periods.
  • Ability to move and lift office supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to project sites or offsite meetings.
