If so, Kiewit is looking for individuals who can make a meaningful impact on our company culture every day.nnThe Finance Analyst is an entry-level operational finance role focused on supporting construction projects in accounting, finance, and operations-related functions. Each project runs like a small business, with the Finance Analyst responsible for critical tasks such as cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, human capital management, and compliance. This position will develop expertise in executing processes and utilizing tools related to various cost and revenue components, including labor, construction equipment, materials, and subcontracts. The Finance Analyst will also play an integral role in the month-end close process and assist with preparing financial reporting packages for project management.nnAt Kiewit, the scale of our operations is vast. We build heavy civil and transportation projects, including highways, airports, mass transit systems, water and wastewater treatment, canals, dams and tunnels. With one of the largest equipment fleets in the region, we can mobilize to any location as a full-service construction team capable of self-performing mass grading, drainage, bridge construction, aggregate production, paving, rail and utility construction.nnLocationnnAlthough headquartered in Denver, Colorado, Central District has projects that span anywhere from the Rockies to the Mississippi. A majority of our work is concentrated in Colorado, Tennessee, Nebraska, New Mexico, and Montana. In addition, we partner with many of our sister districts who have work in the surrounding states such as Texas, Kentucky, and Louisiana. Our projects are located in both large cities and small towns, so our people must be willing to go where the work is. Job assignment location will be determined closer to your start date. Must be able to travel and relocate as business requires.nnResponsibilitiesnnRecognizes the importance of being a team player by adapting to project needs and helping in other areas as needednFosters relationships with the Operations team and shows a willingness to learn about the worknUnderstands the payroll and HR process workflow, and masters the systems used to properly hire, transfer, terminate, and pay all employeesnComprehends how goods are purchased, invoices are received and paid, and maintains purchasing workflow internal controlsnDemonstrates understanding of the accounts payable process workflow and is able troubleshoot payment or vendor issuesnUnderstands intercompany and client billing process workflow, importance of timely and accurate billing documentation, and the effects of timeliness on cash managementnEnsures that all cost and cost adjustments are reviewed for accuracy to meet company standards and accounting rulesnReviews costs, quantity claiming, budget structure and exception reports and makes appropriate corrections to ensure accurate reporting for managementnIdentifies, adjusts, and reviews forecast and budget issues with the cost report to confirm proper recognition of cost and revenuenDisplays first-rate customer service skills – maintains a positive attitude and always willing to offer a helping hand to other team membersnMaintains highly organized work environment, understands importance of time management, and communicates in a clear, concise and effective mannernFollows the Corporate Compliance Program and works in conjunction with the compliance department to implement all EEO and labor laws at the project levelnnQualificationsnn0 - 2 years of financial/data analysis experiencennBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, and/or equivalent degreennMinimum GPA of 3.0 or abovennAbility to relocate anywhere in the countrynnWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and OutlooknnTravel and/or relocation may be required for this position (up to 50%)nnExperience working with Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, and other key excel functions is preferrednnEffective communication (both oral and written), organization and interpersonal skills.nnGood attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepanciesnnPositive attitude, eagerness to learn, and passionate for continuous improvementnnMust be able to freely access all parts of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environmentsnnAbility to work independently, as well as part of a team.nnAbility to work in the United States without sponsorship, both now and in the futurennMust have a valid Driver’s LicensennPrevious internship experience is preferred.nn#LI-DP1nnOther Requirements:n• Regular, reliable attendancen• Work productively and meet deadlines timelyn• Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environmentn• Perform work safely and effectively.
