Finance: Analyst, Billing Compliance - Remote or Hybrid (Must be Local to NYC OR Boston)Our client is seeking an Analyst, Billing Compliance to support firmwide billing accuracy, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. This role plays a critical part in ensuring client billing requirements are met while maintaining strong internal controls and cross-functional coordination.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure all firmwide bills are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with client billing guidelines and internal firm proceduresReview and audit all new and existing matters to confirm compliance with firm requirements using appropriate billing system matter codesCoordinate with Conflicts, Terms, Pricing, eBilling, Timekeeping, and Collections teams to ensure matters are opened and maintained in compliance with client and firm standardsSupport process improvements within Intapp Open and Intapp TimeLead and support projects focused on matter maintenance, billing compliance, and OCG compliance auditsCommunicate securely with billing attorneys and client service staff regarding adherence to client billing requirementsRespond to billing-related inquiries from attorneys, clients, and internal teams; prepare and deliver billing reports as requestedPartner with Financial Services to support billing system updates and upgrade initiativesHandle additional billing compliance and finance-related projects as assignedRequired ProficienciesAdvanced proficiency with legal accounting and billing systems, including EliteAdvanced proficiency with document management systems (e.g., WorkSite, FileSite, DeskSite, Equitrac)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteAdvanced proficiency with financial forecasting tools (e.g., targetCash)Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly within a legal environmentQualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance (preferred)5+ years of financial systems experience (required)5+ years of general accounting experience (required)5+ years of legal billing experience (required)Skills and CertificationsAdvanced proficiency with legal accounting and billing systems, including Elite Advanced proficiency with document management systems Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Advanced proficiency with financial forecasting tools (e.g., targetCash) Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly within a legal environment
