Final AssemblyThe final assembly is primarily responsible for sub-assembling smaller parts. This includes reviewing the work order to ensure material availability.Essential job responsibilities not limited to:Review picking sheetConfirms if pick from stock or make from a jobLocate job and compare with picking sheetReview drawings for part assembly (if available)Gather materials to assemble partsAssemble partsReview picking sheet for special instructionsInspect parts for final assemblySign off on production and picking sheetCompetencies:Ability to work in an environment that produces excellent quality and quantity workAbility to organize and prioritize jobsAbility to communicate – clearly and comprehensivelyWorking conditions/physical requirements:Able to stand for long periods of timeAble to lift, push, and pull 25 pounds unassistedRequirements:Minimum qualifications:High school diploma or GEDShop experience in assembly and reading shop printsFamiliar with power tools and hand tools, loc-tite glue, and paper cutterKnowledge/skills/abilities:Ability to read and interpret shop drawingsBasic math knowledge which includes the use of measuring toolsWork environment:Typical machine shop environment.Willing and able to work additional hours as neededAt VMC Group and companies we believe in supporting our employees both professionally and personally.
