Final AssemblerThe Final Assembler is responsible for assembling and creating finished products according to specifications while maintaining quality standards, efficiency, and safety within the Final Assembly department. This position ensures that components are assembled correctly and finished products meet company and production standards.This role may also function as a Final Assembly Lead when designated, providing day-to-day guidance, coordination, and support to team members within the department.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Assemble and crate whole goods in Final Assembly (Ag and Turf products)Follow and complete all required quality checklist proceduresOperate specialized tools and equipment required for specific assembly assignmentsAssist with positioning and handling materials and components during assemblyInspect parts and finished products to identify defects or quality concernsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work areaCommunicate with team members and management regarding part issues or production concernsFollow all safety procedures and company policiesPerform other duties as assignedAdditional Responsibilities When Designated as Final Assembly Lead:Provide day-to-day direction and support to assembly team members to ensure production goals are metHelp prioritize workflow and coordinate jobs in alignment with production schedulesServe as a resource for troubleshooting assembly issues, including mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical componentsMonitor work for quality, accuracy, and efficiency; address issues in real timeAssist in training and onboarding new team members, including proper assembly techniques and safety practicesReinforce safety policies and promote a safe working environmentCommunicate regularly with the Final Assembly Supervisor regarding production status, personnel concerns, and improvement opportunitiesSupport continuous improvement efforts, including identifying process and workflow enhancementsLead by example in attendance, work ethic, quality, and adherence to company valuesPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Positive attitude with strong emotional intelligence and teamwork skillsEffective communication and organizational skillsMechanical aptitude with the ability to apply mechanical understanding during assembly processesAbility to read and follow written instruction with visual aids is required. Being able to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and assembly schematics is preferredAbility to communicate effectively in person within a team environmentProficient in using hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, and impactsWillingness to be cross-trained in multiple areas of the assembly processEmbodies organizational core values (authentic, driven, humble, trustworthy)Additional Qualifications for Final Assembly Lead (when applicable):Demonstrated proficiency in final assembly processes and product knowledgeStrong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsAbility to train, coach, and support team members effectivelyAbility to prioritize tasks and manage workflow in a production environmentPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and move frequently throughout the workdayAbility to lift up to 50 pounds consistently and up to 70 pounds occasionally with team lift or mechanical assistanceFrequent repetitive motion while assembling components and operating toolsAbility to safely operate assembly equipment and hoists during production tasksStrong visual ability to identify assembly errors, missing components, or quality concernsAbility to hear and communicate important production or part-related issues to team members and managementWork Environment:Work performed in a manufacturing environment with inconsistent temperatures depending on shop conditionsFrequent exposure to loud noises from tools such as impacts and grindersExposure to dust, grinding debris, and other materials associated with assembly processesWork performed around moving parts and operating equipmentMust wear required personal protective equipment in accordance with company safety policies, including company-provided safety glasses and employee-provided steel-toed footwear; additional PPE may be required based on job duties.Pre-Employment Requirements:Employment with Harper Industries is contingent upon successfully passing:Pre-employment background checkPre-employment drug screeningHarper Industries, Inc.
