About the Practice

San Ramon Family Optometry is a well‑established private practice located in San Ramon, California. The office serves families and residents in San Ramon, Danville, Dublin, and the East Bay region, offering full‑service optometry, contact lens fittings, dry eye treatment, myopia management, ocular disease, and surgical co‑management. The practice is equipped with state‑of‑the‑art technology, including an Optomap Digital Retinal Imaging System, optical coherence tomography, Zeiss digital phoropter, and a cloud‑based electronic health record system.

Position Overview

This flexible fill‑in opportunity is for an optometrist who enjoys providing high‑quality patient care and can integrate quickly into an established practice flow. You will provide full‑scope optometry, including comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and treating eye conditions, prescribing glasses and contact lenses, and referring patients to specialists when medically necessary.

Work Schedule and Dates

Regular office hours: 8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday hours: every other week, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Fill‑in dates for 2026: July20,21,23,30; October19–30.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye exams and deliver patient‑centered care.
• Diagnose and manage eye conditions, including glaucoma and other ocular diseases.
• Fit and dispense contact lenses and prescribe spectacles.
• Coordinate referrals to other specialists as needed.
• Utilize the practice’s electronic health record for charting and patient communication.

Qualifications

• Optometrist license in the state of California
• Availability for scheduled fill‑in coverage
• Contact lens fitting experience
• Glaucoma certification
• Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents certification
• Electronic health record charting experience
• Preferred experience in a private practice or fast‑paced clinical setting
