Benefits: Cultural Resource Analysts, Inc. is a member firm of the American Cultural Resources Association (ACRA). ACRA, through a partnership with the Small Association Leadership Alliance (SALA), is pleased to offer its members a new ACRA Healthcare Program. Part-time and temporary employees, such as field technicians, who work for ACRA member firms are eligible to enroll. Once you are enrolled in health care through this program, you continue coverage even if you change jobs.Your coverage only discontinues if you terminate it. More information on plans, pricing and how to enroll in the plan(s) will be included with New Hire documents.
Compensation:
Field technician hourly pay varies depending on qualifications and experience. The hourly range is between $19.25 - $21.25. Per Diem ($46 per day) is issued either daily or weekly, and single occupancy lodging is provided.

Job Description and Responsibilities:
- The Field Technician position is under the direction of Staff Archaeologists and Principal Investigators.
- Duties may range from assisting in activities associated with the excavation of test units and features, screening, backfilling excavated areas, and cleaning/packaging/labeling archaeological artifacts.
- A bachelor's degree in anthropology and the completion of an archaeological field school is required.
- One year of experience as a field technician is preferred. Preference will be given to those with historic archaeological field experience.
- Must be able to work in variable field and weather conditions, be physically fit, and able to navigate efficiently in remote areas.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, lift heavy objects, work while standing, and do general manual labor such as digging, sifting, and moving wheel barrows of dirt from one location to another.
- Must possess problem solving skills to identify problems, develop, evaluate options, and implement solutions, must be resourceful and able to complete tasks in the most effective manner, must be able to follow directions and work independently as needed.
