NOTICE OF POSSIBLE EMPLOYMENT
This notice is to inform Section 3 residents that employment opportunities may become available in connection with the following HUD-assisted project:
Project Name: City of Northport - NORTH PORT I&I MITIGATION COMM DEV
Funding Source: Community Development Block Grant-Mitigation (CDBG-MIT)
Potential Job Opportunities
Employment opportunities may include, but are not limited to:
• Laborers
• Equipment operators
• Trades (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
• Apprentices
• Administrative or clerical support
• Other construction-related positions
Actual job openings will depend on contractor needs and project timing.
Section 3 Hiring Priority
In accordance with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 (24 CFR Part 75), preference will be given, to the greatest extent feasible, to:
1. Section 3 residents, defined as low- or very-low income persons; and
2. Targeted Section 3 residents, including individuals who:
o Reside in the project area or service area; or
o Meet HUD income eligibility requirements; or
o Are participants in qualifying workforce programs.
