Field Technician 3

A major Aerospace company is looking for a Field Technician 3 to support our Norfolk Flight OPS department. As a member of the Flight OPS department you'll get to support to provide technical assistance to the TAF RTBS at an unclassified level.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment. Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.
  • Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time. Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change.
  • Maintains effective customer communications and relations.
  • May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
  • Performs a variety of maintenance, modifications and technical support on E-2C Avionics and Electrical systems, equipment, integrated systems, and subsystems, at various customer and/or field location.
  • Supports testing, exercises, and operations at OCONUS location.
  • Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of problems and issues.
  • Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment.
  • Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.

Basic Qualifications for Field Technician 3

· An associate's degree in appropriate technical discipline and four (4) years of E2C specialized experience or High School diploma and six (6) years of E2C Avionics and Electrical Systems experience.

· Must be willing to travel OCONUS 100% of time (OCONUS stands for Outside the Continental United States, covering areas like Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, and foreign countries).

· A wide and comprehensive acquaintance with, and understanding of, both general and specific aspects of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.

· Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Work may be done without established procedures.
