Our Field Specialists are typically part of a two-person crew that travels to various job sites around the region. If hired as a remote employee, your salary will be aligned with the applicable compensation range for your primary remote work location.A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SURVEY PARTY CHIEFUtilize surveying practices and techniques to conduct various survey responsibilitiesSet up, adjust, and operate surveying equipment including total station, data collector, level, and GPS to collect and record dataAccurately stake right of way locationsClearly document information in hand written field notebooksCoordinate and communicate findings with Party Chief and other CEI staffCollaborate with peers and supervisors to accomplish group, project, and company goalsOther duties will be assignedQUALIFICATIONS FOR A SURVEY PARTY CHIEFHigh School diploma or GED1-2 years survey field experience a MUSTAbility to learn and proficiently utilize robotic total station, data collector, and GPS equipmentWillingness to frequently travel to regional job sitesPossess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving recordPHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENTAbility to regularly work outside in all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold, wet and muddy conditions, and high precarious placesAbility to safely traverse and navigate rugged terrain in remote areasAbility to transport heavy equipment to various jobsites (Regularly lifting/moving up to 25 pounds, frequently lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 100 pounds)Ability to travel frequently travel regionally and occasionally nationallyCEI Engineering Associates, Inc.
