The Field Services Manager leads and manages field operations for construction materials testing services, ensuring efficient execution, workforce alignment, and overall performance of the field services group.

This role is responsible for staffing, scheduling, quality control, and financial performance, while supporting project delivery and business growth. The Field Services Manager oversees Team Leaders and field staff, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining a positive customer service attitude and demonstrating ECS Core Values.Responsibilities:Leads, supervises, and mentors Team Leaders and field staffOversees day-to-day operations of the field services groupEnsures field operations are properly staffed, scheduled, and executedManages workforce planning, staffing levels, and recruitment needsOversees scheduling operations and ensures all project requests are fulfilledPromotes and enforces safety policies and a strong safety cultureOversees equipment calibration, maintenance, and inventory processesReviews field reports and may provide senior-level review of deliverablesSupports and assists with project execution, issue resolution, and technical challengesPrepares proposals and supports project management activities as neededCoordinates with Project Managers and Department leadershipAttends project meetings and supports client interactionsDrives business development, marketing, and client relationship effortsAssists in monitoring and managing department financial performancePerforms other operational and leadership duties as assignedQualifications:Required Qualifications5 years of related experienceHigh school diploma or GED requiredMaintain basic certifications and any advanced certifications necessary for the work performed as per the ECS Technician Certification PolicyExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Strong leadership and decision-making capabilitiesStrong understanding of construction materials testing and field operationsAbility to evaluate testing methods and results for specification complianceStrong operational and organizational management skillsAbility to prioritize work and manage competing demandsProficiency with electronic devices and MS OfficeAbility to build and develop high-performing teamsUnderstanding of company systems and operational workflowsIf driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is requiredMilitary Qualifications:The following US Military ranks will qualify for this position IF they also meet the education and certification requirements from the above section titled "Required Qualifications":E-5/E-6About Us:ECS Group of Companies (ECS) was founded in 1988 with the goal to raise the standards of professional engineering consulting.
