Location: New York, NY (Onsite with local travel to client locations)

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work on a W2 basis. No C2C, CTH, or sponsorship available.

Overview

We are seeking a Field Services Engineer to provide onsite technical support for end users across client environments in the New York City area. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) and possess strong troubleshooting skills across desktop, mobile, infrastructure, and networking technologies.

Required Qualifications

• 1-3 years of end-user support experience
• Previous Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience required
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Experience supporting Windows desktop environments
• Working knowledge of Active Directory administration
• Experience with VMware virtualization technologies
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routing, and switching
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting Android and iOS devices
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
• Experience with desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral support

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote technical support to end users
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and connectivity issues
• Configure, deploy, and maintain desktop and mobile devices
• Support Active Directory user administration and access management
• Assist with VPN connectivity and remote access solutions
• Escalate and track issues through resolution
• Travel to client locations throughout the NYC area as needed
• Deliver exceptional customer service while managing multiple support requests

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting multiple client environments
• Exposure to virtualization technologies such as VMware
• Knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure and enterprise environments
• Strong problem-solving and documentation skills
