Start the next chapter of your career with Crane Aerospace & Electronics!The Field Service Engineer II works under limited supervision and applies established procedures to maximize product performance by addressing and resolving product issues efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction. This role involves participating in engineering design reviews, testing of products, supporting accident investigations, providing technical support and training for end users, and mentoring internal resources. The Field Service Engineer II also plays a key role in new product integration, certification efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives.Essential FunctionsRespond to and troubleshoot technical inquiries from Airline and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customers, ensuring timely and effective resolutionDevelop and deliver training materials for end users, providing both onsite and offsite training to customersConduct detailed failure analyses, prepare comprehensive reports, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholdersConduct new product Entry into Service (EIS) programsConduct in-service evaluations, aircraft certification, and integration testing, including directing on-wing tests, monitoring and resolving complex technical issues, and providing feedback to design engineersSupport flight safety investigations, including accident investigations, preparing detailed reports, and managing inter-company communicationsDevelop, mentor and coach internal resourcesMaintain general knowledge of CFR, FAR, SFAR's (Federal Aviation Regulations)Maintain general knowledge of outside agencies such as FAA, NTSB, ICAO, JAA, EASA, and their servicesSupport Product Development Phase (PDP) ProcessParticipate Critical Design Review (CDRs), and Program Design Review (PDRs)Any other task assigned by supervisor or managementEligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information.
