Equipment Service TechnicianTrask-Decrow Machinery (TDM) is a growth-oriented company committed to providing a seamless selection of quality industrial pumps, process air solutions, and portable equipment to satisfy virtually any application. Trask-Decrow also provides installation, overhaul, and repair of current and new systems. We service all of New England with regional representatives to provide unmatched customer service and support.The Equipment Service Technician role is responsible for providing repair services on pumps, blowers, portable / stationary compressors, generators, and ancillary equipment.Functions and Responsibilities:Perform scheduled maintenance, service and repair on air compressors, pumps and portable diesel utility equipmentOversee and/or install related equipment and systems at customer locationsInspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and or system failuresEducate customers on proper start-up procedures and maintenance intervals along with potential spare parts requirementsMaintain continuity between the customer and the company during and after installations to ensure proper application, and operations of systems and equipmentFollow proper safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all timesProvide the required tools and diagnostic equipment necessary to perform job assignmentsInsure the proper use, maintenance, and safety of all company vehicles and equipmentAttend relevant training session and maintain appropriate required levels of certificationsAdministrative responsibilities include the documenting of labor hours, parts usage, and equipment data on a daily basis.Any other relevant duties that may be assignedEducation and Experience:Minimum: High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience. Position requires excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude and a minimum of 2 years industrial maintenance experience preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to read and interpret work orders along with communicating ideas and suggestions both verbally and in writingAbility to complete basic math skillsBasic Computer skillsGeneral mechanical aptitudePhysical Requirements:Sitting (working at a desk) – up to 33%Standing – up to 33%Walking – up to 33%Lifting up to 50 lbs.
