Field Service TechnicianThe Field Service Technician travels to customer sites to install, commission, repair, and troubleshoot dispensing and process equipment used in fluid and material processing applications. This customer-facing role includes testing completed systems before shipment, supporting factory acceptance testing and application trials, and providing remote technical support. The position requires a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, clear communication, and the ability to work independently with up to approximately 50% travel.ResponsibilitiesTravel to customer locations to install, commission, test, and validate dispensing and process equipmentPerform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repairsTest completed systems before shipment to verify proper performance and complianceSupport factory acceptance testing (FAT) and application lab trialsAssist with creating, updating, and maintaining technical documentation, manuals, and drawings to support equipment operationProvide remote technical support to customers via phone and webRead, interpret, and work from technical drawings, schematics, and documentation, including hydraulic, electrical, and fluid system schematicsCollaborate with internal engineering, production, and service teamsSupport continuous improvement by providing feedback on equipment performance, field issues, and customer needsEssential Skills2+ years of experience working with mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systemsHands-on experience with machines involving hydraulics, pumps, fluid systems, dispensing, and pressure controlKnowledge of pumps, valves, piping, and fluid systemsMechanical aptitude (knowledge of motors, gearboxes, and power transmission components)Experience with industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting.PLC / HMI knowledgeAbility to work independently in the field and adapt to new environmentsClear written and verbal communication skillsStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail and organization.Work EnvironmentCustomer sites may range from food processing plants to chemical and plastics manufacturing environments and other fluid or material processing operations.
