Field Service TechnicianWe are seeking a Field Service Technician who will play a vital role in delivering solutions to company clients. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, customer service skills, and the ability to travel for on-site system installations. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and controls experience, particularly with CNC machines and controls/PLC's.
Additionally, this individual will contribute to technical documentation and product development efforts.ResponsibilitiesInstall and configure Tool Load Monitoring, Adaptive Controls, and Machine Monitoring systems on-site at customer locations.Perform electrical and controls integration with CNC machines and other industrial equipment.Ensure systems are fully operational and meet customer requirements.Diagnose and resolve issues related to system functionality, performance, and integration.Provide remote and on-site support to address technical challenges.Travel to customer sites across the US for installations, training, and support (travel up to 70%).Develop and maintain clear, concise, and accurate technical manuals, user guides, and installation instructions.Document installation and troubleshooting processes for internal use.Provide feedback from field installations to assist in refining and improving Company's products.Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to test and validate new features or systems.Train customers on the use and maintenance of installed systems.Represent Company with professionalism and maintain strong customer relationships.QualificationsStrong background in electrical and controls systems, particularly with CNC machines and industrial controls.Experience with system integration, PLCs, and industrial automation.Familiarity with machine monitoring and IoT technologies is a plus.Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage travel schedules effectively.Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.Valid driver's license and ability to obtain necessary travel documentation (e.g., passport, visas).Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.Compensation: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
