Field Service Technician
Lytx is hiring Field Service Technicians as field-based trial support positions across key U.S. markets. This is a hands-on, on-the-ground role for someone who takes pride in doing installs right the first time. You will be the Lytx-badged professional who shows up to every trial install site, performs the installation, makes sure the hardware is right, and doesn't leave until every vehicle is activated and recording.
What You'll Do
Maintain and stock your trial hardware kit; manage hardware rotation to keep inventory current
Source replacement parts locally when needed for standard components to prevent day-of delays
Conduct pre-site vehicle assessments for complex trials before install day
Perform hardware installations on standard commercial vehicles — hardwired, diagnostic, and basic AUX Hub configurations
Perform basic field diagnostics: verify device connectivity, confirm recording, identify and resolve common activation issues using DMM and device diagnostic tools
Inspect and verify every vehicle before accepting it — no vehicle leaves without confirmed recording
Communicate install progress and completion to the customer's fleet manager professionally
Answer basic product questions on-site; escalate deeper product, settings, or feature inquiries to the AE or SE
Track hardware inventory; flag supply issues to IPM before they become day-of problems
Escalate expanded deployment scope to CPM, product questions to AE/SE, and advanced technical installs to FSE
Other duties as assigned

Comfortable working in fleet yards, trucking facilities, and industrial locations — including outdoor work in varying weather conditions
Detail-oriented: install quality and documentation are non-negotiable
Professional customer-facing presence; represents Lytx credibly with fleet managers and operations staff
