Field Service Technician - Reading, PAThe Field Service Technician position will perform microprocessor-based system start-ups and system troubleshooting at customers' facilities. Technicians in this position will be required to consistently demonstrate the ability to accept and complete assignments involving microprocessor-based systems and their peripherals. A day in the life includes performing microprocessor-based system start-ups at domestic and international customer locations. Assist senior technical personnel in proving system/station configurations on in-house systems. Provide technical support to customers, sales representatives, and Service Technicians as required to maintain the highest possible level of customer support and satisfaction.
Provide emergency (24-hour) technical support to customers and Service Technicians in their effort to troubleshoot system problems, traveling to the customer's site if necessary. Assist in performing microprocessor-based system upgrades and develop a working knowledge of all current microprocessor system feature software releases. Become proficient in the use of the SST, Console, SP2 & E3 Configurators. Become proficient in system troubleshooting.
