Field Service TechnicianMazak Corporation is currently searching for a candidate who will install equipment, train customers, execute warranty repairs and provide after warranty service on CNC Lathes and Machining Centers. Field Service Technicians are assigned Regional responsibilities and operate directly from their residences. This position reports to the Arizona Technology Center.
Duties involve overnight travel from home to various customer facilities, located primarily in the Phoenix, AZ area. Travel is required.Scope and Responsibilities: Essential duties include, but not limited to the following:Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employeesInstall machines and accessories at customer sites. Installation includes all necessary assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating and wiring of machines and accessories.Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems on machines and accessories at customer sites.Test operation of machines and accessories after completing installation or repairTrain customers on functions of the machinesLearn new machines features and accessories as they become availableComplete reports documenting installation, assessment of reported problem, repairs completed, parts installedTravel is required.
Assignments will require overnight or multiple night stay.Utilize various test equipment for trouble shooting purpose, indicators, test bars, clamp force, gages, etc.Education/Certification:2-year technical training in electronics, mechanical or machine tool assemblyHigh School DiplomaSkills:3-7 years of experience in Field ServiceRead/understand engineering drawingsAbility to work on own or in group while completing necessary tasksAbility to understand PLC HYD/Pneumatic circuitsGeneral computer skillsAbility to lift up to 50lbs on a repetitive daily basis. Heavier lifting in excess of 50lbs on periodic basisAbility to problem solve depending on situationSound writing and reporting skillsStrong people skillsThe salary range for this position is $70,926 to $109,025
