Field Service TechnicianWe're a trusted provider of construction equipment sales, parts, service, and support. We're looking for a skilled and reliable Field Service Technician to join our growing team.This is a hands-on role where you'll be diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining construction equipment right at the customer's site.
You will be diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of heavy construction equipment, including excavators, track loaders, tracked mulchers, skid steers, chippers, grinders, and other diesel-powered machinery. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to minimize equipment downtime and keep operations running smoothly.Key Responsibilities:Travel to customer sites to diagnose and repair construction equipment.Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and adjustments.Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.Operate diagnostic tools and software for equipment troubleshooting.Provide clear, professional communication with customers and our service team.Document work performed, parts used, and time spent.Maintain company tools, service truck, and inventory.Qualifications:2+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, diesel mechanic, or similar role.Must have your own tools – (Mandatory tools) 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" drive sets, 3/8" and 1/2" impact gun (air or elec), wrench sets (1/4" - 2", 8mm – 24mm), electrical troubleshoot tools, hammers, pry bars, basic pliers and screwdriver sets.Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environmentValid driver's license with a clean driving record.Willingness to work in all weather conditions and travel within the service area.Basic computer skills for service reports and parts lookup.Welding and fabrication skills a plus.High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or trade school certification preferred).Benefits:Competitive pay (hourly + overtime)Health, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidays401(k) with company match.Vendor specific training – online and in person.CDL TrainingOngoing training and growth opportunitiesSupportive team and a company that values your expertise
