Field Service TechnicianTalon Recruiting has partnered with a leading heavy equipment dealer in search of a Field Service Technician to join their team in Fort Wayne, IN.The Field Service Technician performs diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer owned equipment.Job Duties:Diagnosis, recondition and repair of equipment and componentsParticipates in training programs for the development of skills and knowledgeMaintains current knowledge of company and competitive productsMaintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipmentMaintains a service vehicle area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashionFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsCompletes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignmentsAccounts for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing assigned dutiesParticipates in Company's Safety ProgramCompletes training assigned by managerOther duties as assignedExperience, Education, Skills & Knowledge:Technical school certificate or equivalent work experiencePrevious heavy equipment technician experience preferredStrong mechanical skills; good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functionsStrong diagnostic skillsAble to work with minimal supervisionAbility to work as a team memberComputer skills in data entry, basic navigation and InternetValid driver's license and acceptable driving record based upon company policyCompensation:Competitive hourly wageExcellent benefit package including health/dental/vision benefits and 401(k)
