Electromechanical Field Service TechniciansAt DOC SERVICES, we perform preventative and reactive maintenance on a variety of electromechanical equipment inside big box retail stores. With over 35 years of experience servicing over 1500 stores across the US our full certified technicians provide our customers with support and repair solutions designed to extend the life of their equipment, reducing down time and minimizing the impact of our customers' bottom line.Electromechanical Field Service Technicians meet customer and company expectations while providing a variety of service including but not limited to reactive, preventative, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and similar. Work out of their home and respond to all service calls for customers as scheduled by their DSM.

Equipment type and response times vary depending upon customer and company needs.Essential functions include:Perform billable work by maintaining, troubleshooting and servicing equipmentAbide by all OSHA, customer and DOC safety regulations including PPE requirementsRespond to all service calls within customer expectations and DOC requirementsProvide all documentation as required by customer and DOC through handheld devicePerform cost effective service and repairs while maintaining qualitySeek out technical support while onsite timely so as not to prolong time spent to remedy a repairAvailable to be reached via phone for reactive service repairs unless otherwise approvedOrder the correct parts needed for the repairMaintain inventory on hand and keep organized for the ability to quickly find the part when needed for the jobArrive to job on-time and prepared with tools, instructions, parts and safety equipmentTravel to and from customer locationsPerform inventory reconciliation accurately and as scheduledReturn parts as requested, following instructions and in a timely fashionAs directed by DSM, evaluate preventable service problems at customer locations and educate or make recommendation to customerOther duties as neededRequirements include:High school diploma or GED requiredMinimum two years of equipment repair experience or combination of training and experience.Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge; ability to read and understand schematicsUse computer applications including Microsoft office and call management softwareKnow and understand safety regulations required as it relates to equipment repairStrong organization skills; self-motivated and detail orientedValid driver's license and good driving record along with proof of insuranceSatisfactory background check is requiredMaintain a professional appearance and behavior, and a positive attitudeWritten, verbal and electronic communication skillsOther duties as neededWorking conditions include:This position will require you to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to stand, bend, and drive for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights of more than 6 ft.
