NETA Level II (or ~2-4 yrs experience)
- $35 - $60/hour
- $65 - $75/hour
- $75 - $85+/hour
- Typical per diem: ~$127/day (based on General Services Administration guidelines)
- Most clients provide:
- Company card OR reimbursed expenses
- Travel coverage (lodging, flights, rental)
- Perform acceptance and maintenance testing per NETA standards
- Test and troubleshoot:
- Switchgear (LV/MV)
- Transformers
- Breakers
- Relays / protection systems
- Execute LOTO and safety procedures (NFPA 70E)
- Analyze test results and identify deficiencies
- Generate field reports and documentation
- Support or lead field teams depending on level
- Level II: Executes testing with supervision
- Level III: Leads small crews, owns portions of projects
- Level IV: SME / Lead Tech, client-facing, project ownership
- 2-8+ years of electrical testing experience (level dependent)
- Strong understanding of power distribution systems
- Familiarity with:
- NETA standards
- NFPA 70E
- Ability to travel (~50%)
- Valid driver's license
- NETA Certification (II-IV)
- OR NICET EPT Certification (II-IV)
- OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, PowerDB
Strong candidates will have:
- Hands-on testing experience (not just electrical maintenance)
- Exposure to medium/high voltage systems
- Experience with test equipment (Megger, Doble, Omicron, etc.)
- Ability to explain testing procedures and results
