Field Service Technician | Dallas, TX
Perform the commissioning of equipment in the field, ensuring the correct operation of the same. Carry out repair and maintenance actions on the equipment, following the instructions and work protocols. Register in the management system the information associated with the commissioning, maintenance, and corrective actions carried out on the equipment. Manage and make appropriate use of the stocks (materials and components) and resources (vehicle, office equipment, work clothing, PPE...) assigned for your activity, making responsible use of them. Carry out the required inventories to ensure the correct and updated maintenance of the stock and materials assigned to your activity. Participate in maneuvers in Low and Medium Voltage electricity. Carry out all tasks assigned by your immediate superior, both associated with your area and linked to other departments to ensure the correct development of the work. Comply with the matrix of roles and responsibilities in matters of safety and health in your position of work (P14.130S-F01).
Academic Medium and/or Higher Degree in Electricity and Electronics and/or University Degree or Higher Degree in Electrical, Electronics or similar. Desirable training, preferably in mechanics or electromechanical.
Computers Professional level of office suite.
Languages Dominance of the language of the assigned area. In general, English (B1) is desirable.

What You'll Do As a Field Services Technician, you will be a critical part of our technical operations team, ensuring the optimal performance of our utility-scale solar and battery inverter systems. Your main duties will include:
- Commissioning & Start-Up Perform start-up and commissioning of solar inverters at photovoltaic plants. Ensure systems are configured and operating according to specifications.
- Troubleshooting & Repair Diagnose and repair inverter faults in the field. Replace components such as MV transformers, switchgear, electronic boards, AC/DC fuses, fans, and filters.
- Preventive & Corrective Maintenance Conduct scheduled maintenance and updates (software/hardware). Follow safe start/stop procedures and warranty protocols.
- Field Reporting & Documentation Submit accurate daily field reports detailing work performed and time spent. Complete expense reports and maintain inventory of assigned parts.
- Customer Support & Safety Provide technical assistance and ensure customer satisfaction. Adhere to safety protocols and company training standards.
- Asset Management Maintain and care for company property including vehicle, tools, devices, and PPE. Ensure proper installation of wiring and connections (Layer 1 responsibilities).
- Travel & Flexibility Travel as required based on operational needs across the U.S. Be available for emergency support and 24/7 service coverage when needed.
What We're Looking For · Education or licenses: Journeyman or Master's Electrician license. Associate or Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronics engineering, or related technical field. · Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in field service, commissioning, or maintenance of industrial electrical equipment. · Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical systems and components. Experience with solar inverters (desirable), MV equipment, and power electronics. Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software updates. · Certifications: OSHA, NFPA 70E, or similar safety certifications preferred. · Soft Skills: Problem-solving mindset and customer-oriented attitude. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Strong communication and reporting skills. · Other: Valid driver's license. Work in outdoor environments.
