Field Service Technician
Elgin, IL | $65,000 - $85,000 + Paid Travel Expenses | 65-80% Travel
Join a growing team supporting advanced industrial plasma systems across North America. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician who enjoys travel, troubleshooting, and working directly with customers. When you're not traveling, you'll be based out of our Elgin office providing customer support and coordinating service activities.

Field Service Technician

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician who enjoys travel, troubleshooting, and working directly with customers. When you're not traveling, you'll be based out of our Elgin office providing customer support and coordinating service activities.
What You'll Do
- Commission and start up equipment at customer facilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and system inspections
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues
- Train customer maintenance teams on equipment operation and upkeep
- Complete system upgrades, retrofits, and modifications
- Document service work and provide technical support
- 3+ years of field service, maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial equipment experience
- Basic electrical knowledge (180V-480V, power supplies, wiring, fuses)
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints/schematics
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
- 65-80% travel throughout the U.S.
- Monday-Friday schedule with rare weekend travel
- Most trips last 1-3 days
- Company credit card provided for flights
- Hotel, meals, rental cars, and mileage reimbursed
- All travel expenses paid by the company
