The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of natural gas compression units, with a focus on General Motors 4.3L and 5.7L Engines and proficiency in Cummins 8.3 and 855 engines. While knowledge of various engines such as CAT is beneficial, it's not required.

The Field Service Technician will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our wellhead and VRU compression solutions, ensuring peak performance and reliability, as well as the safety of our employees and of our equipment.ResponsibilitiesFollow all Flogistix safety procedures as well as customer specific safety compliance, if required at customer job sites, and maintain a safety-conscious work environmentBuild and assemble equipment or mechanical components according to specificationsTrack inventory on truck and accurately charge out parts as needed in order to maintain correct inventory countMaintain a clean work environment, which includes proper care for company vehicle and specialty toolsPerform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, spark plug changes, and tuning CNG enginesPerform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systemsReplenish fluids and components of engines and equipmentClean and apply lubricants to machinery componentsHandling complex repairs related to the CNG fuel system, engine components, and vehicle systemsInspect natural gas compression units and run diagnostic tests to identify functionality issuesConduct repairs with a focus on maximizing reliability and efficiency in order to maintain assigned units running properlyTroubleshoot reported problems and implement timely resolutionsConduct emissions tests to ensure that CNG compressors meet emission standards set by local and federal authoritiesResolve customer's issues on rental and purchased equipmentKeep detailed logs of work and report on issuesParticipate in training sessions to stay updated on the latest developments in compression technologyParticipate in a positive and relationship building work environment alongside coworkers, customers, management, and other departmentsOther duties as assignedQualificationsRequirements:Education:High school diploma/GED requiredMust have a valid driver's licenseExperience:Familiarity with various natural gas compression unitsRequired to occasionally operate small portable cranes or lifting devicesSkills:Basic knowledge multimeter use in order to diagnose various electrical issuesBasic computer knowledge and experience with automation controls preferredStrong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose functionality issuesExcellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team to deliver results in dynamic and fast paced environmentsCommitment to ongoing learning and ability to adapt to new technology, AI familiarity a plusMust be reliable and dependable, work all shifts and arrive on timeMust be a responsible and safe driver and adhere to all Flogistix safety proceduresPreferred Qualifications:3-5 years of experience in reciprocating or screw compression is a plusProficiency in General Motors 4.3L and 5.7L Engines; Cummins 8.3 and 855 engine experience is a plusKnowledge of 24vdc control panels and 4-20ma systemsProcess Technology/Instrumentation background preferredWorking Conditions:Must be available for occasional on call work which may include weekends and nightsThis is a safety sensitive positionFrequently required to stand, sit, walk, kneel, stoop, use hands to handle/feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and armsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbsOccasionally required to climb or balanceAbility to work outdoorsDaily travel in the field up to 75% of the time or moreFlogistix is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Application Process: To apply go to Range: $24-$33/hourBenefits:Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insurance401(k)401(k) matchingEmployee assistance programFlexible spending account/Health savings accountLife insuranceShort Term/Long Term DisabilityPaid time off10 company paid holidays offReferral programTuition reimbursement
