Service TechnicianARC Group is seeking an experienced technician with strong mechanical aptitude to join our client's team in Newark, NJ for a hands-on role focused on the repair and maintenance of compressed air equipment. Pay Range: $30–$45 per hour (Based on Experience)Benefits: Comprehensive Insurance Package | 401(k) with MatchWhat You'll Do:Conduct teardown and inspection of returned industrial air equipmentDiagnose mechanical issues and evaluate failure causes with precision and accuracyCollaborate with internal teams to provide clear, written documentation on findings and service recommendationsTake detailed measurements of worn parts to determine suitability for reuse or replacementFollow schematics and service manuals to rebuild compressors to OEM standardsOperate and maintain workshop tools including welding equipment, sandblasters, band saws, and drill pressesInterpret engineering drawings for component assembly and fabrication tasksUtilize overhead cranes and forklifts safely to move equipment and partsKeep your work area organized and ensure all activities align with safety protocolsProvide training and guidance to customer personnel in the shop environment as neededWhat You Bring:High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; technical certifications in industrial maintenance or safety are highly valuedAt least 5 years of hands-on experience maintaining or repairing compressors, blowers, pumps, or other industrial machineryStrong troubleshooting skills and ability to follow detailed technical drawingsComfortable working with 3-phase electrical systems and various shop toolsPhysically capable of lifting up to 70 lbs and standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periodsSafety-minded, organized, and an effective communicatorStrong team player with a customer-first attitude and reliable work ethicYou'll be part of a highly reputable company that invests in people and tools.
