In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to our clients within the water treatment industry. You will leverage your extensive knowledge and experience to resolve complex technical issues, ensure customer satisfaction, and contribute to the overall success of our field sales and service team.Essential Job Responsibilities:Work onsite at customer locations to provide routine, day-to-day service to determine water treatment program is operating within optimal ranges and document findings in detailed reportsParticipate in delivery, installation, commissioning and repair of systems at customer sitesAssist with chemical feed managementWork with Account Managers to manage and place orders, track inventory and usage of product at each site, and serve as the general face of Apex to assigned customer baseMaintain an organized approach to daily work, ensuring tasks are prioritized and completed efficientlySend service reports to Account Manager within 24 hours of completion of service visit for each site visitedProject professional image of the Company through positive attitude, punctuality and reliable attendanceComplete initial and ongoing technical training related to boiler and cooling tower systems through AWT modules and Apex Academy resourcesMaintain professional and technical knowledge to provide sound water treatment recommendations to customersKeep vehicle in good operating condition and keep up with recommended maintenance as neededLocal travel is expected and ongoing; including approximately 10% travel outside of assigned region (which will include overnight travel)Adhere to and support all safety policies and guidelinesPerform other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentAssociate's degree or two (2) years of hands-on experience in mechanical, technical, or industrial environments (e.g., plumbing, HVAC, equipment installation/repair, manufacturing, or general maintenance)Strong mechanical and technical aptitudeAbility and willingness to use a hands-on approach to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform technical repairs, such as pump rebuildsStrong communication and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients and stakeholdersValid driver's license and willingness to abide by Company standards for operating a motor vehicleAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability and willingness to physically provide service at customer facilities within a wide range of environments, including hot, loud industrial facilities as well as outdoor environments that may include exposure to sun, rain, wind, or other weather conditionsAbility to pass a respirator fit test and wear a half-or full-face respiratorCommitment to supporting customers, which may include occasional availability after standard business hours (typically via phone) for urgent needsAbility and willingness to be away from home for overnight travel – up to three (3) nights/monthPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other relevant field of studyWorking knowledge of cooling tower systems, steam generation, and chilled/hot/process water closed-loop systemsPrior work experience in technical service in industrial water treatment or specialty chemicals industry, including knowledge of water treatment systems, such as filtration, disinfection and chemical dosingPast experience operating and supporting reverse osmosis and other equipment systemsFamiliarity with water treatment industry regulations and standardsAdvanced certifications or training in water treatment technologiesCompensation & Benefits:The anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off.
