Electrical Field Service TechnicianResponsibilities:Perform field service work on electrical equipment across assigned projectsDeliver technical solutions directly to customers on-siteHandle complex engineering assignments including equipment/product design, testing, process studies, and research investigationsApply expertise in: Test Equipment Operation, Troubleshooting, Protective Relays, Power Quality Measurements, Disaster Recovery, Rotating Machinery, and Protection & Control DesignGenerate timely, accurate service reports covering work performed, product performance, and warrantiesRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED + 2 years of electrical or mechanical industry experience; OR completion of an accredited trade school/program + 5+ years evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systemsMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (now or in the future)Valid driver's license requiredAbility to obtain/maintain a valid TWIC card and DOT non-CDL qualification (if required)Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution1+ year of field service experience with electrical distribution or control systemsElectrical or General Contractor's LicenseProfessional Engineering (PE) LicenseExperience with power quality measurements, protective relay testing/troubleshootingNICET/NETA certificationKey Competencies:Strong understanding of 3-phase power systems; low, medium, and high voltage distributionElectrical safety practicesProficient with hand and power toolsStrong computer, problem-solving, and logical thinking skillsEffective communicator — able to explain technical issues to varied audiencesWorks well under time pressure and in stressful field environmentsCollaborative team player who meets project deadlinesWork Conditions / Requirements:Variable hours including nights and weekends; travel within district/state/region as requiredPhysically demanding role: lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs regularly; occasionally greater with assistanceExposure to extreme weather, noise, poor lighting/ventilation, and dust possibleMust comply with client safety programs and pass periodic background/drug screeningsAdditional Perks:Company vehicle, guaranteed 40-hour base pay, overtime & travel premiums eligible
