Field Service Engineering

Growing Groves is partnering with a well-known leader in heat treat equipment manufacturing to find a Field Service Engineer for their team. Our client is a leader in the heat treat industry, known for offering challenging career opportunities and deep professional training. They are seeking a Field Sales Technician/Engineer to join cross-functional teams to support aftermarket and new installs of heat treat equipment. You'll also be a critical liaison between the customer and the internal engineering teams, ensuring that the customer's technical needs are met with the best possible solution.

Location: Remote with smooth airport access
Reports to: Engineering Manager

Consistent travel to customer sites (average 3 days for service, longer for installs)
Service and support of the atmospheric and vacuum heat treat equipment lines
New machine install, set up, and first run
Coordinate with internal engineering teams with complex support/install needs
Coordinate layout with customer for new installs
Provide operation demonstration to customers
When not traveling, use home office to support remote customer issues, revise internal documentation, etc.

5+ years of proven industrial field service experience on heavy capital equipment
~ Deep mechanical experience w/ interest or experience in learning electrical
~ Willingness to regularly travel to customer sites
~ Related engineering degree
Experience with heat treat equipment (or thermal processing, industrial HVAC, etc.)
Experience with PLCs
