Field Service Engineer/Technician

Support Advanced Vacuum Furnace Technology n Join Solar Manufacturing's field service team and play a vital role with cutting-edge vacuum furnace systems for customers across the U.S. and internationally. This is a hands-on, technical position ideal for a mechanically and electrically skilled professional who enjoys solving problems, traveling, and working with high-performance industrial equipment.n n What You'll Do:n As a Field Service Technician, you will work closely with engineering and production teams at our Sellersville, PA facility to perform the initial start-up of vacuum furnaces prior to shipment. Once shipped, you will travel to customer sites to commission the equipment and provide technical support, training and long-term service to ensure our customers' equipment operates at peak performance.n n Core Responsibilities:nn Perform in-house vacuum furnace start-up testing, inspection, and final system preparation prior to shipmentn Commission and troubleshoot vacuum furnaces at customer facilities across the U.S. and internationallyn Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical system issues on-site and remotelyn Conduct vacuum leak detection (helium mass spectrometer), hot zone repairs, temperature uniformity surveys, pyrometry and vacuum calibrations, and preventive maintenancen Provide hands-on customer training during installation and ongoing remote and on-site technical supportn Travel approximately 50% to support customer needsn Document service findings and coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues and implement improvementsnn n What We're Looking For:nn 4+ years of hands-on experience in industrial equipment service, machinery installation, or field repairn Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including knowledge of power distribution, instrumentation, and control systemsn Proven ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and technical documentationn Experience using PLC-based systems for troubleshooting, with basic programming familiarity, preferably Allen-Bradley platforms with RSLogix 500/5000 or Studio 5000 softwaren Proficiency in vacuum and thermal systems, including experience with leak detection and furnace commissioning preferredn Strong technical communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly document service activity and collaborate with engineeringn Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing situations, and deliver results independently or as part of a teamn Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 50% of the timenn n Why Join Solar Manufacturing?n You'll be part of a tight-knit, innovative team at the forefront of vacuum furnace technology.
